Reeling From the News of What’s Happening in Afghanistan? You Are Not Alone.

Few headlines have the ability to bring so many people to their knees; few news stories can shake the very foundation of everything you stand for and everything you believe. The recent withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, and the turmoil and tragic loss that followed, is one such event.
Civilians, veterans, and active-duty service members are having intense, unpleasant reactions to the events unfolding in Afghanistan. Such an emotional reaction to these tumultuous events does not need to be justified.
If you are part of the military community, it is normal to experience a more personal connection to these events. This connection may lead to feeling an enormous range of emotions, from grief to anger to confusion and anything and everything in between. But you do not have to suffer alone.
